When you think you may be pregnant, it is important to have accurate medical information. An ultrasound done as early as 6 weeks will verify if the baby is developing within the uterus, show the heartbeat, and give the most accurate age of the baby. At Embrace, you can receive this free of charge. Even if you are considering an abortion, you will need an ultrasound first, in order to date the pregnancy. Embrace also offers free pregnancy tests, with results in three minutes, no appointment necessary.

When you come for your appointment, you will first meet with a trained advocate.  After reviewing your personal concerns and specific situation, she will give you full and accurate information about your options – abortion, parenting, adoption – and let you explore your options in a safe, non-judgmental space.  She will then provide you with additional  information on any other concerns you may have.

Should you then choose to meet with a nurse, your advocate will explain what will happen at your medical appointment. We want you to be informed every step of the way. After the nurse has completed the ultrasound exam, she will discuss the results with you and address any other questions or concerns you may have. She is here for you, so don’t be afraid to ask!

Embrace is here to provide emotional and material support to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies.

Every staff member’s goal is to provide you with compassionate, confidential care alongside professional services in an environment in which you feel valued and safe.
